Why Natural & Organic Skin Care?

Human skin has two main layers:

Epidermis - which serves as a shield to infection, protection of free radical damage (UV/Stress/oxidative damage), contains dermal layers of melanocytes and karatin in which pigment is produced

Dermis - containing dermal layers where collagen is produced as well as where connective tissues are located, also acts like a filter to allow substances absorbed in the skin/body

This largest organ is our main defence mechanism to protect us from getting ill through bad toxins,
pathogens and pollution. As for any other internal organs you want to keep from getting infected or damaged you would never purposely inhale or intake harmful chemicals. So why apply harmful chemicals to our skin?

As natural beings our skin will protect itself to its full ability unless we damage our skin with chemicals, all we need is plenty of water, vitamins, proteins and sleep! So next time you are applying a fragrance rich product, just think of how you are slowing down/affecting the way your skin is supposed to be naturally protecting you.

As we are part of nature, our skin is most receptive to natural & organic ingredients/products. Therefore, usually resulting in being more affective when treating a specific skin issue such as acne, hormonal imbalances, redness and sensitivities. Natural ingredients also have smaller molecular compounds which result in deeper penetration within the dermal layers.
Parabens, fragrances and waxes are made up of larger molecules therefore not penetrating the dermis leaving very short term effect to our skin.
With the help of a skin care expert like myself, take the time to familiarize yourself with essential oils, botanicals, fruits and vegetables and their properties. You then can have in-depth knowledge on how to tailor your skin care regime for your specific needs and by not spending a fortune!

Here are a few of my favourite effective Natural ingredients that help with specific conditions:
